Hi, Utahns, I offer flexible virtual telepsychology via doxy.me video call (or other options such as phone, etc.).

I work with clients of all ages, addressing issues such as PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and the effects of abuse, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. I assess and respond to the immediate needs of abused children, including medical and neurological evaluations.

I perform psychological intelligence (IQ) tests and court-ordered psychological evaluations, as well as psychological evaluations required for certain surgical procedures.

Medical and Neurological Evaluations: Coordinate with medical professionals to ensure victims of violence receive necessary medical care, including neurological evaluations in cases of head trauma.

Mental Health Conditions:

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Address the effects of traumatic events, including flashbacks, nightmares, and emotional distress.

Grief: Provide support and guidance for individuals navigating the process of loss.

Depression: Help individuals cope with and manage symptoms of depression, such as persistent sadness, loss of interest, and fatigue.

Anxiety: Offer strategies and techniques to manage anxiety disorders, including panic attacks, generalized anxiety, and social anxiety.

Bipolar Disorder: Provide support and guidance for individuals with mood swings between periods of mania and depression.

Trauma and Abuse:

Physical, Sexual, and Emotional Abuse: Work with victims of abuse to help them process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and heal from trauma.

Child Abuse Assessment: Evaluate the immediate needs of abused children, ensuring they receive appropriate medical, psychological, and social support.

I was appointed to the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) Board’s Investigative Committee in 2012.

I was honored by the B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) of the Western Utah Chapter to be designated as their liaison therapist.

Appreciatively yours,

Patricia McWhorter, PhD, Psychologist in Utah
