Hi, Tooele County and all Utah State residents! If you need a psychologist, Patricia McWhorter, PhD, works with adults on issues ranging from post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), grief, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and victims of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. She conducts psychological testing for intelligence (IQ) and court-ordered psychological evaluations, as well as psychological assessments required for certain surgical procedures. Her role is to assess an abused child’s immediate needs, be they medical care by a pediatrician, neurological evaluations in the event of head trauma, or whatever the individual child is deemed to require. She was appointed to the Utah Division of Professional Licensing Board’s (DOPL) Investigative Committee in 2012. She was honored by B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) to be designated as their therapist liaison for their Utah Western Region Chapter.
